Too much time has passed since I posted.  I went on vacation and then my computer crashed!  We had so much happening here at TGP!  We are celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Month and we had our annual banquet last Thursday evening.  The Volunteer of the Year was Judy Janke!  Congratulations Judy!!

Wow - what a great morning here at TGP!  The Rock River Cloggers came to dance and show us what they do!  We had a nice group who enjoyed the show and we are starting our own clogging group!  If you are interested, join us this Friday morning (3/16) at 11:00 a.m.!

Come and find out all you wanted to know about the Splash Park!  Tomorrow (Tuesday, March 6) our City Administrator, Jerry Schuetz will be visiting at 11:00 to talk about Milton's newest attraction.
He will tell us what a spalsh park is , where it will be located, how it will be funded and what it means for the city of Milton.  This is an exciting concept for our city - come and find out what it is all about.

Our Christian Cancer support group meets this morning at 10:00 a.m.  This group is for anyone who is touched by cancer.  Our group is run by Steve Hynds and each month we have an area pastor give a short talk.  We then break into groups.  At our first two meetings, we averaged 15 people per meeting!
We are excited about the group and invite anyone who has been touched in any way by cancer.
The group meets the first Friday of each month at 10:00 am. 

Our first monthly fish fry was a huge success.  Due to a snow storm in January, we had to cancel our very first fish fry of the year.  Our February event fell on the first Friday in Lent.  I think many people were anxious to get out and enjoy a wonderful meal.  Our first customer arrived at 4:15 and we were busy the whole evening, until serving ended at 7:00 p.m.  We had approximately 150 people come through our building and everyone loved the meal!!  People were connecting with friends, some made new friends and we even had a couple who had never been here before sign up for membership at The Gathering Place!  There are many good places to enjoy a Wisconsin Fish Fry and Rock County has a number of them.  But, The Gathering Place's once a month fund raiser is not to be missed!  Delicious food, friends and laughter and an all around enjoyable evening.  Thanks to all the volunteers and the Boy Scout and Venture Troop # 471 for all of their hard work!  Our next fish fry is Friday, March 16th!
